Job Description:
Location: 4018 S. Presa, San Antonio, TX 78223 ** 210-533-3655 Primary Role and Purpose: The Behavior Intervention Specialist, under the supervision of the School Principal, will work as administrative support overseeing all behavior related aspects across campuses. This individual is to provide appropriate encouragement to all students as well as consequences in accordance with NFCS Student Code of Conduct. In addition, he/she will operate as truancy and attendance monitor resolving issues related to tardiness, excessive absences, and truancy. He or she will be the main contact for parents, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, and Child Protective Services when necessary. The Behavior Intervention Specialist will serve as the Campus Testing Coordinator, Student Behavior and Discipline, Truancy, Parental Involvement, Student Incentives, Student and Employee Attendance and Abseteeism, Schedule Hearings with Hearing Officer for the campus.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Texas Certified Teacher and Highly Qualified under NCLB standards Middle Management/Principal certification preferred Education:
Bachelor degree from an accredited school required Master’s degree preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Capable of instructing students and managing their behavior Working knowledge of the Campus Testing Coordinator Responsibilities Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Experience:
