Job Description:
The Pre-K for All Lead Teacher is responsible for educating and nurturing the children in our 3-K Program school. The Lead Teacher will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment conducive to the overall development and well-being of children.
Hours: 7:30AM - 4:00PM.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will:
Hold a valid New York State birth-grade 2; Must have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from accredited college or university. Must have or be willing to obtain- infectious disease, mandated reporter, CPR/First Aid, DOE finger printing, and up to date medical. Have at least 1 year of successful classroom teaching experience in a Pre-K program, (2 or more years of teaching experience is preferred). Familiarity with ECERS, CLASS and The Work Sampling System
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The goal of the teachers in our daycare is to provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment where children learn and grow. The responsibilities of all teachers include, but are not limited to the following:
Protects the safety of all children in the daycare
Supervises children at all times
Uses positive phrasing with children and positive classroom management.
Communicates frequently with children throughout the day. Maintains open communication with the children’s family and staff members
Be willing and able to physically pick up children, change diapers and perform simple classroom cleaning.
Curriculum and daily plan responsibilities:
Designs, plans and executes classroom curriculum and the daily schedule keeping in mind long range and short term objectives, keeping with the school philosophy, and meeting all NYC DOE and ECERS/CLASS guidelines. Maintains daily lesson plans, providing opportunities for individual, small group and whole group learning.
Salary: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Teaching: 1 year (Preferred) Special education: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
