Education: Classroom Teaching level3

The Conservatory of Vocal/Instrumental Arts K - 8 charter school in Oakland, CA is seeking Elementary or Middle-School teachers for the 2015 - 16 school year.

COVA teachers teach CORE academics from 8am - 2pm, then teach a performing arts class from 2 - 4pm, preparation periods are scheduled.

COVA has adopted school-wide the "Teach Like a Champion Champion" techniques in the book by Doug Lamov.  Candidates should review information on the techniqes and be willing to implement them.  Candidates must have excellent class management skills and have an expertise in some area of performing arts, fine art, and/or physical art form (yoga, Tai Chi, Karate, etc.). 

- CA Multiple Subjects credential in teaching areas (will consider out of state credential that can be converted to a California credential).
- Experience in teaching in K - 8.
