WESD hiring teachers for the 2024-2025 Sshool year. WESD offers an exceptional support system for Paid Student Teachers, Alternative Pathways Teacher Certification Program, Traditional Student Teachers, and experienced teachers so all teachers feel supported! There are mentors and an Instructional Coach at every site. WESD also has District Coaches by grade level and subject area who visit schools as an additional layer of support.
Salary $53,000 - $81,950. First year teacher can earn $53,810 for successful participation in BEGIN, our Teacher Mentorship Program ($810) and includes Performance Pay ($3,000 approx.), which is earned and paid the same year. 
An additional $2,000 - $3000 stipend for Special Education Teachers who hold a Special Education Certificate or $500 to teachers teaching special education, but do not hold a Special Education Certificate.
