Job Description
Would you like to teach in a warm and nurturing learning environment where teachers are supported and creativity is encouraged? If so, the Association to Benefit Children (ABC) is looking for a special education teacher to join the staff at the Keith Haring School. Our Early Intervention (EI) & Early Head Start (EHS) Early Childhood Center in East Harlem is currently interviewing for a full time Special Education Teacher to head an integrated EI/EHS classroom. Hours are 8am-4pm
Responsibilities of the EI/EHS Special Education teacher include
- Lesson planning, conducting assessment, and curriculum implementation
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing, organized learning environment
- Collaborating with classroom staff and multi-disciplinary team
- Maintaining accurate and timely classroom records/documentation

Salary Range of the Special Education Teacher: $53,665-$60,625
