Tampa Bay International School, an independent K-8 Spanish immersion school, seeks a bilingual (Spanish/English) teacher to instruct students, primarily in grades K-1.
Tampa Bay International School uses a dual language program in which Spanish and English instruction are divided equally in the primary grades. The desired applicant should be comfortable working with multi-age groups of children in a non-traditional school environment and able to teach academic content in both Spanish and English.
The ideal applicant will:
· be an energetic, creative educator who loves working with children.
· be able to differentiate instruction to effectively teach students of different ability levels; sometimes managing more than one reading or math group during a class period.
· collaborate well with others.
· possess strong classroom management skills.
· fully support multilingualism and multilingual education.
· have experience working with children in an elementary school setting.
· possess a degree in early childhood education, elementary education or a related field.
