Manville School, since opening in 1957, has continuously been recognized as a leader of special needs day schools in the Boston area. Manville provides educational services for up to 115 students from kindergarten through 10th grade and has approximately 100 educational, clinical and counseling staff members. READING SPECIALIST / READING TEACHER:
Manville School, a well-established and reputable educational program, is seeking a Reading Specialist / Reading Teacher for children ages 7-14. Collaborate with small, multidisciplinary classroom teams, administer and interpret formal and informal reading assessments, and write reports, indicating recommendations and treatment plans.
Provide direct reading services and instruction to students with identified learning deficits in 1:1 sessions, small groups, and/or within the classroom setting. Together with educational staff, develop reading and written language goals and objectives, and collect data to measure outcomes for IEPs, for a caseload of up to 10 children. Consult with, coach, and train teachers on students’ reading disabilities and science of reading methodology, and individualized accommodations.
Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment and engage in professional development opportunities that will enrich your knowledge.
