Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. required
Must meet the state certification requirements within the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Current Colorado Teaching License preferred
Demonstrated experience in the instruction of students with varied learning styles and levels of mastery
Commitment to Core Knowledge curriculum
Commitment to the implementation of Character Education and Positive Behavior System
Expert-level written and oral communication skills
Entrepreneurial outlook and charter school commitment

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, policy and expectation documents, staff agreements, evaluation rubrics, curriculum maps and materials, and student assessment documents. Ability to effectively document classroom observations, analyze data to improve instructional practices, and correspond with staff from all levels. Ability to speak effectively before groups of staff, students, Board of Directors, Administrators, and parents.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Reporting
This position reports to the Elementary School Principal.
Working Conditions
Work is occasionally regularly performed inside and outside with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures. Work is performed in all weather conditions and includes moderate and sometimes loud noise exposure. This highly public position provides contact with students, staff, Administrators, Prospect Ridge Academy Board of Directors, and parents. Occasionally work may consist of ten (10) plus hour days with weekend work as needed.
