Manville School, since opening in 1957, has continuously been recognized as a leader of special needs day schools in the Boston area. Manville provides educational services for up to 115 students from kindergarten through 10th grade and has approximately 100 educational, clinical and counseling staff members. ASSISTANT TEACHER:
Manville School, a highly successful and reputable educational program, is seeking Assistant Teachers in Grades 4-6 and Grades 7-8 for the current school year. As a member of a three-person, multidisciplinary classroom team, the Assistant Teacher plans lessons and carries out curriculum instruction, tailored to meet students’ specific learning needs/behavioral profiles. Actively participate in academic instruction and classroom management, while learning and applying effective evidence-based behavior management techniques. Partake in exceptional training and receive mentoring by an experienced Educational Supervisor and a Mentor Special Education Teacher, both of whom ensure the Assistant Teacher is highly successful! Participate in weekly meetings with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, while engaging in professional development opportunities that will prepare you to work in a school setting as a special education teacher or mental health professional.
