Are you a New York State-Certified, Students With Disabilities, Secondary Education (7-12) Teacher looking for a remote teaching opportunity?
Join iTutor’s Community of Educators! iTutor,
a leading Ed-Tech company, is currently accepting applications for
NY State-Certified, Students With Disabilities teachers
for
grades 7-12
in the content areas of
ELA, Math, Social Studies
and
Science
.
These educators will
provide vital academic support to students
in one of our partnering schools
*
as the SWD certified educator who works alongside the in-school general education educator
.
Through iTutor’s technology platform, you’ll engage with students using live video and audio, as well as synchronous chat, and maintain ongoing communication with students through our internal messaging system.
Responsibilities
Support students in a particular grade or grade band with content aligned to the school's scope and sequence
Be available for both live instruction and co-planning time with the in-person educator.
Availability needed is as follows:
Instruction times:
ELA & Math --> Monday & Wednesday 8:30am - 11:30 am (3 periods)
Social Studies & Science --> Tuesday & Thursday 8:30 am - 11:30 am (3 periods
Co-planning times:
ELA & Math --> Tuesday & Thursday 1:15 pm - 4:00 pm
Social Studies & Science --> Monday & Wednesday 1:15 pm - 4:00 pm

This is a 1099, Independent Contractor position with a rate of $40-45/
hour. As an iTutor Educator, you will also be given access to iTutor’s “Assignment Opportunity Board” for
additional earning opportunities in a range of assignments that match your certification(s).

-- You’ll need your own computer and reliable internet access, but you won’t have to leave home. All instruction is online with access to technical support.

Job Requirements:
Must presently hold an
active, New York State issued teaching certification
in
Students With Disabilities
for
grades 7-12
in
ELA, Math, Social Studies
or
Science
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in the United State
Must have a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, and headset, as well as reliable internet access.

AIM schools are open to students who are at least 15 years old, have completed 7th grade and are one grade-level behind . These schools are ideal for students who have previously struggled in school and are at risk of dropping out. Students can be up to 21 years of age.)
Prior online teaching experience is a plus!
Daytime availability- during the times listed above, depending on content area of certification
