FULL-TIME LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

(State Board of Psychology Licensed Required)

Bridgeway Academy is a Columbus, Ohio based nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire the potential and celebrate the ability of every child. We offer an integrated approach to meet each child's needs. This collaborative effort combines professionals in the fields of music therapy, speech therapy, physical and occupational therapies, behavioral and educational services to include home based services.

Bridgeway Academy is seeking a Full-Time Psychologist. This role will administer, evaluate and interpret psychological testing and provide direct counseling/therapy and assessment services to Bridgeway Academy students and outside clients and will write, monitor and coordinate behavior management plans with the clinical team and consult with staff and families.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Direct Service: The successful candidate will provide direct service by maintaining a caseload as dictated by contract and therapist procedures. Will conduct assessments and assist in the assessment of skills for baseline data, goal development and progress documentation. Will develop, suggest, and modify/adapt IEP and ABA treatment plan goals and provide therapy in accordance with best practice guidelines as determined by state and national licensing and governing bodies and will provide a safe, clean, creative and structured learning environment that promotes educational and developmental progress. He/she will assess, develop goals and monitor progress of clients who are receiving direct service therapy and will follow intake, service documentation and discharge procedures. He/she will implement behavior support plans created by the Program Director, and behavior strategies as dictated by the classroom lead teacher and provide appropriate communication and other required information to parents and school districts regarding the student's activities, progress and behavior. He/she will participate in crisis intervention and response to intervention, will provide consultations as needed and communicate with Bridgeway Team regarding areas of concern.

Mentoring/Support
Will attend parent and/or team meetings providing support to include providing consultation services to parents, teachers, and other professionals. Will collaborate with other disciplines to promote continuity of care and actively participate in scheduling clients in conjunction with other therapists and classroom schedules. Will provide staff trainings and supervise psychology trainees as needed.

Qualifications/Abilities:

Must have Doctoral Degree from an Accredited College or University and Psychologist licensure from the Ohio Board of Psychology or be eligible for Ohio Psychology Licensure (eg those holding out-of-state licensure who meet the requirements for Ohio licensure). Must have a demonstrated experience in and have an understanding of the field of autism, education, ABA, developmental disabilities and multidisciplinary collaboration. Will have a demonstrated ability to organize and structure a therapy environment with knowledge of developmental milestones, current best practice and therapy models and be able to assist individuals who may be in crisis. Will have effective communication to include appropriate

verbal, non-verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to promote a positive work environment and act as a role model to co-workers exuding professionalism and enthusiasm. Must have demonstrated ability to get along with diverse personalities, displaying tact, maturity and flexibility at all times and can give and receive constructive feedback to and from peers. Will have knowledge of special education policies and experience working with schools in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team setting. Must have good reasoning abilities, sound judgment and can adapt/be flexible to changes in schedule/work demands and the ability to follow through with behaviors plans.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Ph.D./PsyD program completion

Ohio Board Psychologist Licensure or eligible for Ohio Psychology licensure

Valid State Driver's License

Successful ODJFS, FBI/BCI background checks are required for this position.
