The Bibb County School District is an urban school district located in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia, educating approximately 25,000 students each year. The Bibb County School District’s vision is that each student demonstrates strength of character and is college or career ready, and its mission is to develop a highly trained staff and an engaged community dedicated to educating each student for a 21st century global society.

Located in central Georgia, Bibb County is home to over 150,000 residents; a population size that was virtually the same from 2000 to 2010. In 2010, there were 60,295 households, and 38,714 families residing in Bibb County. Of those households, 33.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them.
