COVA Conservatory (Conservatory of Voca/Instrumental Arts) is a K - 8 music/performing arts charter school consisting of 250 students located in Oakland, CA. COVAH (COVA High) will open in August 2015 serving 60 - 120 9th - 12th grade. COVA has consistently demonstrated high academic scores (3 year average of 873) as well as high quality performing arts. COVA demographics consists of 50% African American students, 15% Hispanic, 12% Asian, 20% white, 3% other. Seventy percent of COVA students come from low income households.
