CPS Schools are located in Sanilac County, a rural, farming community. The school serves approximately 400 students in Kindergarten - 12th grade, including also GSRP, tuition PreSchool programs, and an alternative education program. A unique feature of our school district is that our small size enables us to provide very family-friendly services to students and a great relationship building opportunity.
Challenges for our community are mostly economic and affect student access to technology. We have been able to overcome this challenge by using grant funding to provide student access to classroom chromebooks and interactive Smart TVs.The school and district has a desire to find outstanding educators, coaches, and support staff who are eager to work in a small school system!
Carsonville-Port Sanilac Schools has highly qualifed teachers who work very closely as a team to implement new strategies and to reach all learners. Professional Development is targeted to meet the needs of the staff and the goals of the district. The school also implements a consistent RtI program K-8 with data being reviewed every 3 weeks by administration, teachers, and intervention staff.
