Every day, thousands of creative, vibrant kids experience the power of a Freire Schools education at one of our four campuses. Our schools are joyous, safe, spaces where students of all backgrounds are provided the supports they need to succeed in a rigorous educational program. Our schools are completely tuition-free, with no testing or GPA requirements for enrollment.

Over the past 20 years, Freire Schols has developed, refined, and implemented an educational program informed by current research as well as our own experience with that works for kids. We pair high expectations for all students with robust academic and emotional supports, challenging our students to achieve at higher levels than ever before and ensuring they have the support they need to get there. We work to transform students’ expectations for their futures and equip them with the skills and resources they need to achieve their dreams. We offer a challenging liberal arts program that prepares students not only to graduate from high school, but to persist in and graduate from college.

Hands-on learning is key to students’ ability to understand and apply the lessons they learn in the classroom. Through a wide range of creative community partnerships and an emphasis on experiential learning, we connect our students to the world and the world to our students.
