Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP), under the David Douglas School District #40 located in Portland Oregon, is an Early Childhood Special Education Program, providing Special Education services to children, ages birth to five across, in all eight local school districts in Multnomah County. MECP is an itinerant program, serving young children experiencing delays and disabilities in homes, community childcare settings and preschool environments. We implement individualized interventions and embed these strategies into the daily routines and natural environments of the children and families we serve. We believe in inclusive practices that support children to thrive and grow to their greatest potential.
We are currently seeking Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists and Special Education Teachers to join our team of highly trained professionals who support children to make developmental progress and to fully access their educational environments. We are seeking well-organized, skilled professionals with a desire to support young children to fully engage in experiences within their communities and educational settings.
We currently have full time positions open with MECP. Our licensed employees enjoy excellent benefits and follow a 192 day per year contract, similar to a school calendar. A high level of professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration is also available for all staff to support continuing education and growth within the profession.
We would like the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss employment opportunities with MECP or if you would like to apply for an open position with MECP, please follow this link to our website to submit your application: https://daviddouglas.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx
