Lyme Central School is situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario, just one hour north of Syracuse, New York. We are in the heart of Upstate New York where fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling abound.
Our district is comprised of hardworking families, community members, and seasonal residents. Our Board of Education is very supportive of our dedicated staff, teachers, and administration. We love our school!
Currently, we have 337 students in PreK-12th grade in one building. Our graduating class has 27 students. Our average class size is approximately 24 students in the secondary and 15-20 in the elementary grades. Our graduation rate is 95%. The majority of our graduates go onto college, either at 2 or 4 year institutions of higher learning.
Lyme Central School is an excellent small, rural school where we believe all students can learn and where we are all partners in our students' education. Here at Lyme, we strongly believe in our motto of "preparing today's students to be tomorrow's citizens".
