Academy Charter School is a Kindergarten through 8th-grade charter school located in Castle Rock, Colorado. We are a publicly funded school founded by a parent group in 1993. Our school offers unique educational opportunities through our Core Knowledge Curriculum, our character education programs, and rigorous academics. We have 600 students who attend our school.

ACS values our long-standing reputation as a standard-bearer for educational excellence in Douglas County. Academy Charter is the first school granted a charter in the state of Colorado.  We honor our legacy by continuing to operate our school with a focus on our founding principles of academic rigor, student growth and achievement while making a positive contribution to our community. We firmly believe in a whole-child approach to learning combined with research-based instructional practices deliver a quality education to every student.
