Our History
In 1988, the parents of 60 preschool children, ages two through five, enrolled their children in KidzStuff (then known as the Tressler Discovery Center) because they were looking for safe, secure child care that would nurture their children and provide every opportunity to experience the world around them.
Kidz Stuff Today
Today, the program and the needs of the parents have grown so that the center serves nearly 100 preschoolers and 50 school-age children during the academic year, and an additional 20 school-age children during the summer months.
KidzStuff is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education Office – Office of Child Care.
Our Philosophy
- KidzStuff Child Care Center is a Christian childcare center sharing the love of Christ with children and families while working to close the gap for school readiness in Maryland. All families are welcome to explore the wealth of our program for their young learners.
- We believe each child is uniquely special. It is our goal to provide children with a safe nurturing environment that provides activities for language and communication, creative arts, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development to enhance and support the development of the whole child.
- We believe healthy teacher-parent relationships help create exciting programing opportunities around individual student interest, primary languages, and cultural diversities.
- We service any child whose accommodation can be rendered within the staff’s state recognize certification, and the MSDE OCC student ratio regulation.
