TYWLS of Astoria is currently seeking certified teachers who:

❏ Possess a deep love for teaching and learning 

❏ Values diversity, equity and inclusion 

❏ Are willing to collaborate with other experienced educators who possess a zeal for improvement and results 

❏ Want to be active participants in the school community and take on multiple roles such as club advisor, coach, grade team leader, etc. 

❏ Have high expectations for and a record of successful work with middle and/or high school students

 ❏ Are knowledgeable of a variety of methodologies including Project-Based learning 

❏ Are committed to the education of the whole child through building strong relationships with students and families

TYWLS of Astoria is a small, public 6th-12th grade school that focuses on empowering confident and compassionate young leaders. 

We are a collaborative team that works toward our common vision of 100% graduation, 100% college acceptance and 100% college and career readiness.

Through our partnership with the Student Leadership Network, our teachers have access to exceptional professional development offerings; travelship grants; local, state and national conferences; funding for grade specific team-building and college trips; a dedicated College Bound Initiative counselor starting in 6th grade and access to special opportunities and events.
