Springfield School District is located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, approximately 10 miles southwest of Philadelphia.
Enrollment K-12 is approximately 4,200. Staffing consists of 284 professional staff, 156 support staff and 23 administrators. Springfield School District consists of five schools:
Springfield High School, grades 9-12
E.T. Richardson Middle School, grades 6-8
Sabold Elementary and Scenic Hills Elementary, two elementary schools for students in grades 2-5
Springfield Literacy Center, grades K-1
Teacher Salary and Benefits
Springfield School District offers its employees competitive salaries and benefits for the southeast region of Pennsylvania.
Salary: A beginning teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree will earn $50,022; maximum for a veteran teacher with 17 years of experience and a Master’s Degree, plus sixty approved graduate credits will earn $104,592.
Benefits: A premium health plan including dental, prescription, and vision supplementals is available for professional employees and dependents. Benefits also include tuition reimbursement, life insurance and disability income insurance.
