The Knights of old were an organized body of men pledged to service, bravery, and loyalty under one sovereign, who honored them for those characteristics. Over the years, the Southeast Knights and Ladies have built a tradition of honor and excellence, taking pride in their school and the city they call home.

Just west of Swope Park, Southeast High School holds its school’s history and the tradition for academic excellence as a corner stone to its everyday values. As a comprehensive, competitive education environment in the city, Southeast offers a full range of activities for students including high school sports, academic programs, cultural arts, along with numerous extra-curricular activities.

An integral part of the school is the African-Centered College Preparatory Academy. Southeast students, as well as students from the KCPS district, have the opportunity to be a part of a distinct program that focuses on providing students with a high quality education with a strong cultural emphasis.

Students ready to drive their own success have access to Pylons advanced classes, Early College Academy and Manual Career Technical Center courses.
