Company Description:

Cass School District 63 is a two-school district in DuPage County Illinois serving approximately 850 students in grades Prekindergarten through Eight who reside in portions of Darien, Willowbrook and unincorporated areas of Burr Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Lemont and portions of Argonne National Laboratory. Our schools are located in suburban Darien roughly 15 miles west of Chicago.

Concord Elementary School serves children in grades Prekindergarten through Four. The District offers a five-day a week, 1/2 day Blended Prekindergarten Program which combines tuition-based regular education students with students who have identified Special Education needs and students who are assessed to be at risk of not being ready for Kindergarten. The at risk portion of our preschool program is partially funded by a State of Illinois grant. Prekindergarten screenings are scheduled multiple times a year to identify three, four and five year old children in need of special services or who may qualify as at risk and would benefit from participation in the Blended Prekindergarten Program. Kindergarten students are served in a full day, five-day a week program. Children are eligible, in the state of Illinois, to enter Kindergarten if they are five years old on or before September 1 of the year they begin school. Students in grades One through Four have a full day comprehensive instructional program, which also includes Art, Music and Physical Education.

Cass Junior High School serves grades Five through Eight students. Students in all grade levels have quality instruction in basic skills, as well as in the Arts and Physical Education. In addition, elective class offerings and many extra-curricular opportunities are available to enhance our students’ learning process. As a feeder school district for Hinsdale High School District 86, Lemont High School District 210 and Community High School District 99, our faculty works diligently to support high school curricula to prepare our students for a smooth and successful transition.

We are fortunate to have a healthy combination of veteran and new faculty members who bring outstanding teaching and learning skills and strategies to our learning environments. As a result, our students are able to extend and enhance their skills and knowledge in order to be lifetime learners and successfully compete in the 21st Century.

Thanks to the dedication of our faculty and staff, strong support from the school community and leadership from the Administration and Board of Education, we are proud to uphold Cass School District 63’s motto “Where the focus is on the child.” This focus and these efforts have led our school district to be consistently recognized for high academic student achievement and receive numerous awards while establishing and maintaining a fiscally efficient, sound and stable organization, which is a responsible steward of public funds.
