Founded in 1997, Youth Connection Charter School (YCCS) is recognized as a national leader in high quality alternative high school education for Chicago's at-risk youth, ages 16-21. The most recent Chicago Public Schools’ quality performance report ranked YCCS as a Level 1 high school by CPS performance measures, making our academic, financial and compliance performance “#1” among all alternative high schools. In a unique partnership with 17 community-based organizations and 2 City Colleges, YCCS offers educational services and a chance to complete their high school diploma to over 3,600 diverse learners and off-track students at 19 small school sites throughout Chicago where we provide educational access that is, “Not just a Second Chance….
