Golden Oak Montessori is a first through eighth grade public charter school located in Castro Valley, CA, the heart of the San Francisco East Bay. 
We seek trained teachers, with state teaching credentials (any state) or those who are enrolled in credential programs. Golden Oak is an authentic AMS-affiliate public school with a Montessori-trained HOS and diverse student population. Each classroom of 25 students has an assistant and fully prepared environment.
Our School is guided by its vision to create a child-centered learning environment involving families, educators, and the community in nurturing the whole child. We believe that school can provide creative, structured tools to support children in being active learners who care for their environment, value their diverse community, and who think and work both independently and collaboratively.
The diverse student population is reflective of the Bay Area--more than 17 languages spoken. As a public charter school, we do not charge tuition. Approximately 20% of our 250 students qualify as low-income. Each class of 25 students has a lead teacher and a full-time classroom assistant. Curriculum is Montessori with Common Core-based tracking.
